Inspection Methods and Quality Commitment Groov-Pin Corporation is committed to providing products of the highest quality which fully satisfy the needs of its customers. To do this, only the highest standards of engineering, manufacture process control and quality inspection are employed. Accurate measurement is critical to our quality control effort.

DIAMETER
Measure pin diameters, except expanded diameter, with micrometer.

Expanded diameter of grooved pins must be measured using a ring gauge. Micrometer readings of expanded diameter are not accurate.

LENGTH
Lengths are measured with either a micrometer or a caliper.

Overall pin length on crowned pins, as well as chamfered pins, is the dimension which is controlled. The length of the pin between crowns, or barrel length, can be estimated using calipers.
