Groov-Pin’s tool maker, Dave Beland, has supported our manufacturing efforts by making tooling and providing mechanical support for more than 18 years. Dave also trains interns in the tool room. “I don’t have expectations for what interns should be doing, they need to find their own way for however they want their careers to pan out,” he said.

Groov-Pin Signs New GA CATT Apprentice

GA CATT is similar to German-style apprenticeship programs and seeks to address the shortage of young people looking to enter careers in machining or manufacturing in the state of Georgia. Groov-Pin's apprentice is 15-year-old Joe Lanave, a student at a technical school in Georgia.

CEC, Manufacturers to Sign GA CATT Apprentices Monday

CEC will continue its existing partnerships with Winpak, E.G.O. North America, Yamaha, Grenzebach, Kason, Groov-Pin, Yokogawa and KCMA. Representatives from the Coweta manufacturers and CEC will participate in the ceremony.
