Groov-Pin's URI Capstone Experience Progress

In October of 2016, three students from the University of Rhode Island started working with Groov-Pin to complete their Capstone Experience. The team has been working on the analysis of pullout resistance, particularly between a base material and a Threaded Insert. Learn more about the project.

Get to Know Groov-Pin: Jerry Johnson

Since Jerry Johnson started at Groov-Pin in Newnan, Georgia, 34 years ago, he has worked on many of the machines including the CNCs, Davenports, Ecsomatics, and thread roller machines. Now, as the lead in the Grooved Pin area, his day-to-day responsibilities include running the Grooved Pin machines and instructing employees who work on them.

Groov-Pin Participates in URI Capstone Experience

Three University of Rhode Island students are working on a modeling and analysis project with Groov-Pin for their senior Capstone Experience. This program allows students to "tackle a real engineering challenge at a local engineering company" and provides hands-on experience.
