Groov-Pin Celebrates Manufacturing Day 2017

Groov-Pin Celebrates Manufacturing Day 2017

Groov-Pin celebrated Manufacturing Day 2017 by hosting facility tours at our Smithfield, Rhode Island, headquarters. Congressman David Cicilline, members of the VocLinks program at SpurwinkRI, and students from Salve Regina University all visited to talk to our team and learn about the parts we manufacture.

Brian Sylvestre (project engineer), Scott Bunn (operations manager), and Jon Dupre (mechanical engineer) led tours throughout the day. They took groups through different departments, including machining, quality, and shipping, to learn about our processes and see how precision turned components are made.

Manufacturing Day is a great opportunity to connect with the public and demonstrate our day-to-day manufacturing operations. We enjoyed having different groups tour our facility and we hope they learned a lot about modern manufacturing!
