Groov-Pin's 100-Day Walk to Wellness Challenge

We are keeping our Walk to Wellness walking challenges going during the fall and winter months with a 100-day challenge. Beginning on Monday, October 15, 2018, Groov-Pin employees will have 100 days to walk as many miles as they can.

There are different levels of prizes, including stainless steel tumblers and Groov-Pin apparel, for participants who walk 100, 200, and 300 or more miles over the 100-day period. The top prize for participants who achieve 300 miles or more is 8 hours of paid vacation time!

It can be difficult to remain active during colder, darker days, but our walking challenges in conjunction with the Motion program from United Healthcare is helping motivate our employees. The Motion program adds an element of competition, as employees are encouraged to complete a certain number of steps per hour and track their total daily steps on a leaderboard.

Walk to Wellness is a great opportunity for employees to start or maintain healthy exercise habits and earn fun prizes while improving their wellbeing. Walking challenges are one of the main components of our employee wellness program and it one of the reasons we were named a Healthiest Employer in Rhode Island by Providence Business News this year. More than half of Groov-Pin employees participated in our summer challenges and we are hoping to keep this momentum going.
